UC-IRAP Coding Standards & Practices

UC-IRAP Coding Standards and Practices

With the implementation of IRAP's Data Warehouse (UC-IRAP), the need to have good coding standards and practices has become critical. These standards and guidelines include how to format and comment code and how to name programs and variables. One of the important values of the Institutional Research and Academic Planning (IRAP) unit is data accuracy so it's imperative that all data users adhere to simple coding standards and practices to ensure code readability in an effort to facilitate and promote peer code reviews. By sharing code rather than data, we help promote the security of UC data across all subject areas.
