Corporate Staffing System (STF)

Description

The Corporate Staffing System (STF) contains payroll and provision data for academic and staff positions. The information is primarily used by systemwide Budget Analysis and Planning (BAP) analysts at UCOP and the campuses. Campuses produce and submit files for STF five times annually. STF data is used (along with data from the Corporate Personnel System, the Corporate Account Fund Profile, the Title Code System, and the Corporate Budget System) to produce the preliminary Salary and Wage Supplement. This is a report which the BAP Office uses to prepare the final Salary and Wage Supplement report for the California State Department of Finance. Once the data is approved, STF data is archived in the UCOP financial data warehouse.

Access

Access to campus-specific edit reports is restricted to systemwide BAP analysts and the submitting campus. Access to standard reports is restricted to authorized campus and UCOP customers. You can reach this logon site through Corporate Systems Gateway.

Technical Information

The Corporate Staffing System (STF) is a Web-based system running in a Unix environment. Data are stored in DB2 databases and production jobs are written in Unix scripts and DataStage. STF's reporting function requests information via a call to WebFocus, with results displaying in PDF format.
